About me
Dr Wickus Neethling is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with a comprehensive clinical practice spanning the full spectrum of spinal and cranial pathology. He has a particular interest in complex cervical conditions, as well as metastatic and primary spinal tumours. He believes that surgery should always be a carefully considered decision, prioritising conservative management whenever appropriate and reserving operative intervention for cases where it offers clear, meaningful benefit.

Spinal Surgery
Management of degenerative spine conditions, nerve compression, spinal trauma and spinal tumours. This includes microsurgical decompression, discectomy, instrumented fusion and minimally invasive spinal procedures for cervical, thoracic and lumbar pathology. The focus is on restoring stability, relieving nerve pressure and improving function while preserving spinal balance.
Brain & Cranial Surgery
Treatment of brain tumours, hydrocephalus, traumatic brain injuries and other cranial conditions. Surgical care includes craniotomy for tumour resection, burr hole procedures, endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) and CSF diversion procedures such as VP shunt insertion. Each case is approached with meticulous planning and precision.
